I am all about small changes that have a big impact in your home as opposed to expensive and complicated projects that take ages to do!
So here are some easy entryway ideas that will work for small spaces. Have a short narrow entryway or don’t have a entryway at all, create an entryway area and give it a new look with less effort, time and money!
How To Decorate A Small Entry Way
Paint The Inside Of The Front Door
Add interest by painting the inside of the front door in a favorite color.
Or go with a neutral black door like this one below.
Switch Out Your Mat or Floor Rug
Choose a hard wearing neutral floor rug.
Or add in color and texture with the choice of floor rug!
Install A New Light Fixture
Think About Furniture
A narrow hall table or entryway table is one of the best ways to highlight your entryway. Go for a table that has storage, as well or use decorative baskets to hide items away. I am thinking about you doggie leash!
Go bold and elegant with a painted dark entryway table like this one below. Have a very narrow entryway? Consider a wall mounted foyer table, basically half the size.
Ikea shoe cabinets are great for narrow entryways because of their size. Bonus is that they are big on storage! Add a DIY wood top and drawer pulls to give it a custom look.
Keep your entryway simple by only adding in a small bench.
Entryway Mirror
Mirrors are a must have for small spaces! Go for the largest mirror you can for the space. Either a similar size to your entryway table or two thirds of it.
Choose a mirror with similar wood tones as the table or décor for a simple entryway.
Or use a mirror with a contrasting frame.
Not able to hang a mirror? Think about using a large floor mirror instead! You could even prop it up on a small narrow bench like this one below.
Hang Something Up
Picture ledges are great for small spaces! Decorate the entryway with your favorite family photos or artwork.

Have no entryway or a tiny entryway? Combine wall hooks with a narrow entryway shelf for displaying items behind the door. Remember to measure how much space you have when the door is opened.
Define your entryway area with a bold painted wall.
Forget the coats! In a small entryway use the coat rack to decorate your entryway for each season. Simply hang your décor up!

Hi Jane, thanks for the creative ideas. Yes, you really need to sweep with a clean broom and start it all again.
Great post.
Cheers Penny...
